Biography
Dr. Camille Burnett (PhD, MPA, APHN-BC, RN, BSc.N, DSW, FAAN) is the Assistant Dean for Equity, Outreach and Social Justice and Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky, Strategic Advisor, UK Office of the Provost, Community Engagement and Academic Partnerships and the Cralle Day Endowed Professor in the UK Center for Research on Violence Against Women. She holds research affiliations in the Center for Health Equity Transformation, Center of Clinical and Translational Science and the Markey Cancer Center. She also serves as Lead for UK Economic Development Collaborative Equitable Economic Development Core, Co-Lead for UK Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Community Advisory Group strategy, and is the Community Engagement Lead for UK UNited In True Racial Equity (UNITE) Research Priority Area. Dr. Burnett engages in population health issues to foster health equity and justice by critically examining structural and policy influences that shape health outcomes amongst vulnerable populations.
