Biography
Dimitri is a researcher who focuses on psychology, but enjoys taking on psychological questions with interdisciplinary approaches. He enjoys work with interdisciplinary studies, including past work with philosophy, public health, and virtual reality. His research interests include adolescent mental health, technology, public health, social media, and internet use.
Dimitri graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and from Boston University with a Master's Degree in Psychology. His prior research work has addressed topics such as the freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease patients and sociodemographic factors contributing to differential outcomes for those with depression.
Dimitri is currently a research coordinator for the Social Media, Violence, and Social Isolation Among At-Risk Adolescents: Exploring Ground Truth study. In this position, Dimitri manages all aspects of the study, working to fulfill the study goal of understanding peer victimization, social connectedness, and adolescent psychological well-being. His work includes managing the study’s research assistants, performing data analysis, and contributing to the science that forms the project.
Dimitri’s goal is to let his intellectual curiosity continue to guide him as he continues to take on major psychological and public health challenges.
