Biography
Mariel Bello, MA is currently a Clinical Psychology Resident at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Science program at the University of Southern California. Her research interests include investigating the etiology and underlying mechanisms of substance use disorders among underserved populations and the development of novel, culturally-tailored evidence-based treatments to effectively treat substance use and psychiatric conditions in disadvantaged, minority groups. Her current work has explored racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, mental health, and gender-related health disparities across the substance use trajectory.
